Flexible, high-efficiency thermal transfer – engineered for relativly clean fluids and complex processes
What is a Plate Heat Exchanger?
A Plate Heat Exchanger (PHE) is a highly efficient heat transfer solution designed to transfer heat between two fluids without them ever coming into contact. At its core, the system consists of a series of thin, corrugated metal plates placed one after the other. These plates create a network of channels that allow a hot fluid and a cold fluid to flow in close proximity, separated only by a highly conductive metal plate.
Sigma Gasketed Plate Heat Exchangers are the versatile backbone of efficient thermal systems. With customizable plates, gasket materials (e.g. NBR-HT, EPDM, FKM, PTFE), and flow configurations, they offer maximum performance, easy maintenance, and adaptability across a wide range of food, beverage, industrial, and utility applications.
Applications & Benefits
Amongst many others, we have experience with these applications:
- Milk, soy milk, and fruit juice processing
- Whole egg, egg yolk, egg white & salted egg pasteurization
- Coffee and tea concentrate cooling
- Honey, sugar syrup, and gelatine treatment
- Ice cream mix, margarine rework, sweetened egg
- Blood plasma and yeast stabilization
- Vegetable oil, lard, and paraffin emulsion handling
- Polyol and isocyanate cooling
- Swimming pool & seawater thermal management
- Solvent and reverse osmosis systems
- Anodising baths and brewery processes (wort preheating & pasteurization)
- Steam condensation & waste heat recovery
- And many more!
Thanks to their modular plate design, they are engineered to adapt to varying process temperatures, flow rates, and chemical compatibilities.
